Are you positive or negative?

Mary's Small Talk

Hi,

Isn't this weather beautiful?

You know I am a positive person. I have been reading the Journal from Joel Olsteen. I enjoy his sermons on television and thought this would be a neat journal.

He has a story in it about an indian chief teaching his grandson. The chief told his grandson that everyone had two wolves inside them. One an unhappy, jealous,  poor, negative, ungrateful one, the other a happy, prosperous, grateful, positive one and they are fighting each other all the time. ~ The grandson asked which wolf will win. ~ The Chief replied "Which ever one you feed the most."

I liked the concept of that as it puts thing into perspective. Which wolf are you feeding the most to? Isn't that a good perspective to remember when you get discouraged!

We will be heading to Tennessee and then to Pennsylvania for a Aunt and Uncles 50th Wedding anniversary. Also they will be 80. August 22 is George birthday, August 23 is their annivesary, and August 24th is Mary's Birthday.

We appreciate your business so please order your printing before August 22 or After August 28th.

Until Next time, Enjoy our quotes and story.

Mary

The Fence !

There was a little boy with a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, to hammer a nail in the back fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence.

Then it gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.

The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence.

He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won't matter how many times you say 'I'm sorry', the wound is still there."
