Kerry and Mary
Kerry was working with his dad in Pennsylvania, I was working in a restaurant they ate at. I cooked in the back, there was a waitress who said there was a nice young man who wanted a good woman. That is how Kerry and I met.
I was born and raised in Greenville, Pennsylvania. Kerry was born and raised in Greenville, Illinois. His mother is Velma Jeanne my mother is Emma Jean. My name is Mary Ellen, Kerry's is Kerry Allan. Seems like lots of coincidences but kinda fun comparisons.
We married October 26, 1985 in Greenville, Pennsylvania and moved to Greenville, Illinois after a honeymoon in Niagara Falls. We then moved to Florida in 1987. We made that home for 11 years but decided it wasn't as friendly and comfortable as Illinois. In 1998 we moved back here and made it home. We bought a house in Hookdale in 1999 and are enjoying a quiet country life.
When we lived in Florida it was in Lehigh Acres. My sister also lived in Lehigh Acres. We are proud to say we are aunt and uncle to her boys ~ we have some very fond memories. They now live in Pennsylvania. We visit my family when we can and have a good relationship with them. I try to make the Redfoot family reunion in August!
We started a printing business in Florida after I had some experience. We called it Type & Design Plus. . . We learned alot from that experience and have used it here and our other jobs.
Friends of ours say that once the ink gets in your blood you can't get it out. I guess that's true.
That is a short version of our story. Kerry and I will be married 22 years if we make it to October. There have been good times and challenging times. All of you who are married know there are ups and downs. We have made it work and hope to continue.
